Paris Marathon

The 49th Paris Marathon, 11 April 2027 - also known as the Schneider Electric Marathon de Paris -

is the marathon with the highest participation in the world, with over 56,000 entrants.

The race record is 2h 04' 21'', recently set in 2021 by Kenya's Elisha ROTICH.

This could be your chance to set a new personal best or make a great marathon debut.

The Paris Marathon course

Paris is the most visited city in the world, with almost 30 million tourists a year.

Seen from the River Seine, Paris is a breathtaking sight, and no other European city revolves so much around its river, which divides it into two halves.

It is therefore inevitable that the Paris Marathon ranks among the most important sporting events in France and in the World.

But beyond its Marathon, Paris is the world capital of culture thanks to its magnificent monuments, first and foremost the Eiffel Tower: 324 metres, 10,100 tonnes, 1,665 steps: the undisputed emblem of Paris was built by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 Universal Exhibition.

And then the Louvre, the former royal palace of the kings of France, which displays over 35,000 works of art.

We end with Montmartre, one of the historic hearts of Paris, with its narrow lanes and village atmosphere. Not to be missed: the Sacré-Cœur Basilica and the Place du Tertre.

And that is not all, because the art and culture of Paris and its Marathon certainly do not end here!

The marathon start is just 2 metro stops away, with an estimated travel time of 6 minutes.

The Hotel is located in a high-end area just outside the hustle and bustle of central Paris. La Défense is in fact a contemporary district, characterised by large modern buildings, and at the same time it is ideal: here you will find just the right tranquillity to face the demanding challenge of the marathon at your best.

The efficient RER trains reach the Champs Elysées stop in about 6 minutes (a time we have tested ourselves).

The rooms are spacious and equipped with a safe, air conditioning, soundproofing, complimentary toiletries, toilet, private bathroom, bath or shower, telephone, satellite channels, flat-screen TV and minibar.

The Les Defence restaurant, run by its Chef, will delight you with delicious à la carte dishes.

The RER stop is less than 15 m away.

THE LA DÉFENSE DISTRICT

Alternatively, for the less demanding, we offer a 3-star Hotel, located in the La Défense area, perfectly connected with the centre as well as the start/finish of the Marathon.

The metro stop, Esplanade de la Defense Line 1, is only a few minutes away and provides a direct connection with the centre of Paris.

The Package Price consists of:

1- Deposit Fee;
2- Race Bib Fee, for those who request it;
3- Balance Fee.

1- The Deposit Fee varies depending on air fares. In this regard we recommend requesting a quote for the flight. Alternatively, you can purchase your flight on your own.

2- The Marathon Race Bib Fee is:

Guaranteed race bibs even after the race sells out, since Travelmarathon is an Official Partner of the Paris Marathon.

Race bibs can only be provided together with a hotel package for a minimum of 3 nights.

3- The Balance Fee is:

The Balance Fee is paid between 120 and 70 days before departure. It is refundable in case of cancellation (see the General Terms and Conditions).

It will always remain fixed and will never be subject to increases.

The Travelmarathon group in the La Défense area

Families/Children:
Travelmarathon wants to look after families and especially children: that is why we have always decided NOT to charge you for your children's costs, apart from out-of-pocket expenses such as - obviously - the flight ticket alone (Deposit Fee). In this way we strive to find the hotels best suited to you and your children.

There are no other kinds of costs or additional expenses (taxes, registrations, …) apart from optional ones, such as the Travelmarathon/Paris Marathon souvenir gadget, yet to be defined (jacket, rain jacket, … with an indicative price of 19 Euro).

Travel Insurance (hospitalisation, medical assistance, expense reimbursement, luggage theft, flight delay …): equal to 6% of the total cost. (NOT COMPULSORY BUT HIGHLY RECOMMENDED). Please also note that breakfast is not included in the price, but as we have always done on all our trips, we will secure an attractive offer from the Hotel at excellent prices (E.g. 6 Euro - continental buffet breakfast).

The package price includes

- Accommodation in Hotel ***/ (3 nights) in a double room with private facilities;

- Travelmarathon assistance at the Hotel (a tour escort is available 24h);

- Escort to the race and to the expo;

NEW FOR PARIS 2026 included in the Package Price:

- Photo service by our race photographer.

The package price does not include

- Cancel Insurance (7.5% of the total amount - RECOMMENDED);

- Booking Fee (10,90 Euro);

- Meals and drinks;

- The price of tickets for all transfers (bus/taxi), visits and excursions;

- Any city taxes;

- Extra tips in general and everything not expressly indicated as included.

- Walking Tour + Bateau Mouche cruise on the Seine. Indicative price of 34 Euro per person.

Single room supplement of 54 Euro per day. For single athletes who wish to share a double room, the organisation undertakes to assign a possible roommate.

Bookings

Registration: send the Registration Form + Race Bib Form (for the runner only).

Deposit Fee payment: (per person) + Race Bib Fee where applicable.

Balance Fee: paid between 120 and 90 days before departure.

Registration closes: when the maximum number is reached.
