The 46th Berlin Half Marathon on 4 April 2027 confirms itself as one of the most important half marathons in the world, both for the number of entrants and for its incredibly fast course, with over 34,000 runners.
The Half Marathon with one of the fastest courses in the world. The 2018 record of just 58'42'' was set by Eric Kiptanui.
The start is at 10:05 from Karl Marx Allee. The flat city course then winds through the city, passing the Brandenburg Gate at the 3rd Km and the Victory Column at the 5th Km, one of Berlin's most famous monuments,

Opening hours:
- Friday from 11:00 to 20:00;
- Saturday from 09:00 to 18:30.
Every runner must go to the Expo in person to collect their race bib. Collection by proxy is not allowed.
The Berlin Half Marathon takes place in Germany's magnificent capital. Berlin is a city of a thousand attractions, appealing to young visitors looking for fun as well as to cultured travellers in search of an important page of history and of magnificently preserved and displayed monuments and works of art. In Berlin you can get an overview of the main tourist attractions and then explore in detail the Squares, Museums, Churches, Parks and everything else wonderful Berlin has to offer.
The Berlin Half Marathon winds through the city along its most beautiful and famous streets, touching its most important monuments. But the symbol of Berlin and of its race is the Brandenburg Gate. This monument, aligned on the axis crossing Berlin from East to West, successively symbolised the power of the Prussian empire, the division of Europe (the Berlin Wall ran at its feet) and reunification.
During the Half Marathon weekend we also recommend visiting:
- HOLOCAUST MEMORIAL
A few steps from the Brandenburg Gate, right in the city centre, stands the Memorial. A commemorative monument dedicated to the Jews of Europe who were victims of the Holocaust. 2711 rectangular concrete blocks are set on an undulating surface, creating a claustrophobic effect of great intensity and emotional impact. Walking through this immense open-air monument is truly moving. The work by architect Peter Eisenman won the AIA (American Institute of Architects) award. To learn more about the history of that time, don't miss the exhibition at the Information Centre located beneath the Monument.
- CHECKPOINT CHARLIE
An important symbol of the Cold War. This is where the Allies, diplomats and all those foreigners entitled to cross from one side of Berlin to the other passed between 1961 and 1990. Here you can now find a US Army guardhouse reconstructed down to the smallest detail and a sign reading “You are leaving the American sector”. If you approach the guards for a photo with them, be aware that they will ask you for a donation! Today it has also become the film set for major spy films and thrillers. A few steps away, visit the Wall Museum – Haus am Checkpoint Charlie, open daily from 9 am to 10 pm.
- REICHSTAG
Home of the German Federal Parliament since 1999, the Reichstag deserves your attention if only for its glass dome, reachable by lift, the work of English architect Lord Norman Foster. If you find yourself here on a beautiful sunny day, you can admire a wonderful 360° panorama over Berlin! A visit early in the morning or late in the evening is recommended, to avoid the tourist crowds.
- FERNSEHTURM
Here is another symbol of Berlin: the Television Tower. 368 metres tall, you will notice it as soon as you set foot in the city. If you are lucky, on a beautiful sunny day it will be a pleasure (as long as you don't suffer from vertigo!) to take the lift to the top and admire the breathtaking panorama from above. Have a coffee in the panoramic bar and enjoy the show! Here too, arriving in the early morning hours is recommended, to avoid the queue.
Hotel**** Sup. Park Inn (Alexanderplatz)
It is the tallest **** hotel in the city; the Park Inn belongs to the well-known Radisson chain.
It is located right on the very central Alexanderplatz and the Hotel boasts no fewer than 3 restaurants and a large wellness centre.
All rooms feature multi-jet showers and marble bathrooms.
Guests can access the wellness centre with sauna, gym and massage service.

BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2027
Registration is open for the 46th edition of the Berlin Half Marathon with guaranteed race bibs at 135 Euro.
Each participant pays a Participation Fee based on:
from Fri. 2 to Mon. 5 April;
from Sat. 3 to Tue. 6 April.
On request, the dates above can be changed.
The Participation Fee consists of:
1- Deposit Fee;
2- Race Bib Fee, for those who request it;
3- Balance Fee.
1- The Deposit Fee varies according to air fares. At the moment the Deposit Fee is around 100 Euro. In this regard we recommend requesting a quote for the flight. Alternatively, you can purchase your flight on your own.
2- The Race Bib Fee is:
- 135 Euro (limited guaranteed race bibs).
Guaranteed Race Bibs, as Travelmarathon is an Official Partner of the Berlin Marathon.
3- The Balance Fee (FOR THE FIRST REGISTRANTS ONLY) is:
- 359 Euro (4 days/3 nights) at Hotel*** Ibis Haupbahnhof;
( just 150 m from the metro and the central station, a 10' walk from the Brandenburg Gate);
- 429 Euro (4 days/3 nights) Hotel *** Aletto (1.900 m from Alexanderplatz) !!!;
- 439 Euro (4 days/3 nights) at Hotel**** Sup. Park Inn By Radisson right on Alexanderplatz ** MAIN HOTEL TRAVELMARATHON **.
The Balance Fee is paid from 120 to 90 days before departure. It is refundable in case of cancellation (see General Conditions).
It will always remain constant and will never be increased.
Any extra night is:
- 79 Euro for *** Hotels;
- 99 Euro for **** Sup. Hotels;
Families/Children:
Travelmarathon wants to look after families and especially children, which is why it has always chosen NOT to charge you for your children's costs, apart from out-of-pocket expenses such as - of course - the flight ticket only (Deposit Fee). In this way we strive to find the hotels best suited to you and your children.
- A child up to 2 years old pays only 65 Euro (Flight + Hotel***) and can have a cot/crib free of charge (subject to availability on the Hotel's part).
- A child up to 5 years old pays only the Deposit Fee (Flight ticket), and stays free sleeping in the same bed as their parents.
Children's breakfast from 5 to 12 years is 3,90 Euro per day.
There are no other costs or additional expenses (taxes, registrations,…) apart from optional ones, such as the possible Travelmarathon/Berlin Marathon gadget, not yet defined (jacket, rain jacket,… at an indicative price of 19 Euro).
Travel Insurance (hospitalisation, medical assistance, expense reimbursement, baggage theft, flight delay …): 9.90 Euro. (NOT COMPULSORY BUT STRONGLY RECOMMENDED). Please also note that breakfast is not included in the price, but as we have always done on all our trips, we will secure an attractive offer from the Hotel at excellent prices (e.g. 6 Euro - continental buffet breakfast).
The fee includes
- Accommodation at Hotel**** (3 nights) in a double room with private bathroom;
- Travelmarathon assistance at the Hotel (at least 2 tour escorts are always available 24h);
- Our Staff present in all hotels;
- Accompaniment to the race and to the expo.
- NEW FOR THE BERLIN HALF MARATHON 2027 included in the Fee we have added:
- Photo coverage of the trip by our representative on site;
- Transfer included from the Hotel to the start;
- “ITALIA” technical shirt for all runners.
The fee does not include
- Cancel Insurance of around 7,5% of the package (RECOMMENDED);
- Booking Fee (10,90 Euro – over 12 years);
- Optional souvenir Gadget (Polo/Sweatshirt at an approximate price of 17/19 Euro – OPTIONAL);
- Meals and drinks;
- Tickets for all transfers (bus/taxi), visits and excursions;
- Tips and extras in general and everything not expressly indicated as included.
Single room supplement of 44 Euro per day. For single athletes who prefer double-room accommodation, the organisation will do its best to assign a roommate.

For Berlin our organisation requires a minimum of 3 nights.

Balance Fee: from 120 to 90 days before departure.
