Alongside the spectacular marathon, the Half Marathon will also take place at the same time, a distance accessible to practically everyone!

MADRID HALF MARATHON OVERVIEW

Once again this year, the organisers of the Madrid Marathon have truly managed to amaze everyone: confirming once more the important Half Marathon distance. This raises the number of entrants to over 30,000 runners, placing the Madrid Marathon among the most important marathons in Europe.

THE MARATHON COURSE

The Marathon start is scheduled for 08:45 at Paseo de la Castellana; Pº de la Castellana between Ortega and Gassett and Marqués de Villamagna.

The course starts with a slight uphill stretch and features a few not-too-demanding ups and downs.

MADRID MARATHON EXPO

It takes place at IFEMA Feria de Madrid with over 180 stands dedicated solely and exclusively to runners.

Opening hours:

- Friday from 09:00 to 20:00;

- Saturday from 09:00 to 20:00.

Madrid is the capital of Spain, a cosmopolitan city that combines modern infrastructure and its role as an economic, financial, administrative and service centre with a great cultural and artistic heritage, the legacy of centuries of fascinating history.

Madrid preserves one of the most important historic centres among Europe's great cities, in which the most modern infrastructure blends in harmoniously.

Near the Plaza Mayor lies the so-called "aristocratic centre", where you can admire the Royal Palace, a monumental 17th-century building that combines Baroque and Classical styles. Nearby are the Plaza de Oriente, the Opera House and the modern Almudena Cathedral, consecrated in 1993 by Pope John Paul II. The Puerta del Sol square, surrounded by an elegant shopping area, and the Art Walk, so named for its incomparable museums, palaces and gardens, complete this monumental ensemble, home to the splendid Banco de España building, the Palace of Telecommunications and the fountains of Cibeles and Neptune.

Art and culture hold an important place in Madrid's calendar of events. The capital has 73 museums covering every aspect of human knowledge. Among them stand out the Prado Museum, one of the most important art galleries in the world; the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum, with more than 800 paintings, sculptures and tapestries including works by the Flemish masters and works from the avant-garde movements; and the Reina Sofía National Art Centre, dedicated to contemporary Spanish art with works by Picasso, Joan Miró, Salvador Dalí and Juan Gris.

What truly characterises Madrid, however, is a deep and contagious passion for life, reflected in the friendly character of its citizens. Concerts, exhibitions, ballets, plays, film premieres, the best Spanish and international gastronomy and the charm of its bars and taverns are just some of the leisure options Madrid has to offer, alongside shopping opportunities in traditional shops or in the prestigious stores of the best international brands and labels.

Madrid's lively nightlife is also a major attraction of the Spanish capital, thanks to the variety and atmosphere of its bars, pubs, nightclubs and flamenco venues, which during the day can be alternated with traditional festivals, popular celebrations or the San Isidro bullfighting festival, considered the most important in the world.

The Madrid Marathon Fees are per person, based on double room accommodation.

Each participant pays a Package Price

from Fri. 23 to Mon. 26 April;
from Sat. 24 to Tue. 27 April.
depending on the departure airport
on request it is also possible to depart on Thursday 22 April.

1- Deposit Fee;
2- Race Bib Fee, for those who request it;
3- Balance Fee.

1- The Deposit Fee is 80 Euro, plus the cost of any flight. In this regard we recommend requesting a quote for the flight itself. Alternatively, you can purchase your flight on your own.

2- The Race Bib Fee

The Marathon Race Bib Fee is 99 Euro;
The Half Marathon Race Bib Fee is 69 Euro.

Please note: once the maximum number of entrants is reached, registration will close early.

The Deposit Fee and the Race Bib Fee must be paid right away.

3- The Balance Fee is:

- 359 Euro (4 days/3 nights) in Hotel**** Elba Alcalà (150 m from the Metro stop, 3 stops from the centre **for the first registrants**);

- 329 Euro (4 days/3 nights) in Hotel*** Sup. Ibis Central (450 m from the start / finish area) - SOLD OUT -.

Please also note that breakfast is not included in the price, but as we have always done on all our trips, we will secure an attractive offer from the 4-star Hotel at excellent prices (E.g. 6 Euro - continental buffet breakfast - Children 2,40 Euro).

Children/Families:
Travelmarathon wants to look after families and especially children: that is why we have always decided NOT to charge you for your children's costs, apart from out-of-pocket expenses such as - obviously - the flight ticket alone (Deposit Fee).

A child up to 8/9 years old pays only the Deposit Fee, sleeping in the bed with their parents or in an extra bed. If under 2 years of age, they pay a single Fee of just 65 Euro and can have a cot/crib free of charge.

Single room supplement of 59 Euro per day.
For single athletes who wish to share a double room, the organisation undertakes to assign a possible roommate.

Bookings

Registration: send the Registration Form and the Race Bib Form.

Deposit Fee payment: (per person) + Race Bib Fee where applicable.

Balance Fee: paid between 120 and 90 days before departure.

Registration closes: when the maximum number is reached.
