On Saturday 29 May 2027 the 48th ADIDAS Stockholm Marathon will take place; Travelmarathon is an International Travel Partner (ITP) and race bibs are guaranteed; they can only be transferred if combined with hotel accommodation and the assistance of our Tour Operator.
THE HISTORY OF THE STOCKHOLM MARATHON
The Stockholm Marathon was born in August 1979 with just a few hundred runners taking part. The following year the race moved to June, certainly more suitable for a race in the northern countries, where the temperature hovers around 12/16 °C. The course was completely redesigned in 2018, to be ever faster. The race record is 2h 10’.
ON SATURDAY 29 MAY 2026 the beautiful Adidas Stockholm Marathon will take place.

THE MARATHON COURSE
The Marathon start is scheduled for 12:00 A.M. (first wave) and 12:10 A.M. (second wave) at the Stockholm Olympic Stadium, which hosted the 1912 Olympic Games. The course is somewhat demanding, but at the same time the setting is wonderful and fantastic. The first kilometres of the race course wind through the city, passing in front of the most important monuments such as the Royal Palace and the Swedish Parliament. Then comes the island of Djurgarden, a large park where you find yourself running surrounded by cool greenery, with a totally different perspective of the city. At around km 25 you enter the beautiful island of Sodermal, the historic part of the city, until km 30, crossing the striking Vasterbron bridge, over 600 mt long, the city's historic arch-shaped bridge built in 1935. The final kilometres wind once again through the city centre, returning inside the stadium for an arms-aloft finish. At the finish line, in addition to the commemorative medal, you will also receive the Finisher shirt.

MARATHON EXPO
It takes place at the Lejonhallen, Östermalms IP in Norra Fiskartorpsvägen 34, near the start/finish area.

- Thursday from 12:00 to 18:00;
- Friday from 10:00 to 20:00;
- Saturday from 09:00 to 11:00.

Sweden is one of the most advanced countries in the world and its human-scale capital Stockholm is easy to discover even on foot, characterised by countless green spaces perfectly integrated into the urban fabric.
The city
A charming Old Town, parks, canals and architecture are the hallmarks of Stockholm, a city with a strong maritime soul and an international atmosphere. Taking the boats to get from one part of the city to another and visiting parks, museums and ancient palaces will be the things you enjoy most in Stockholm, where 19 hours of daylight per day, from May to July, let you stay outdoors until late. The distinctive cobbled lanes with their yellow houses peeking out are the calling card of a truly unique area.
The main tourist attraction is the Royal Palace, an important building housing museums such as the Livrustkammaren, the Royal Armoury, which preserves royal armour and robes.
The only 17th-century ship still surviving on earth is right here in Stockholm, at the Vasa Museum. The vessel is enormous: 69 metres long, it sank off the coast of Stockholm and was recovered in 1961, after more than 300 years. It took 50 years to restore it with the utmost care.
Nightlife
Never heard about Stockholm's nightlife? The city is full of jazz and pop music venues. Most of them are concentrated around Stureplan, in the heart of the city. Almost all venues stay open until 3:00 in the morning. Thursday is the day Swedes usually devote to their evening life.
The prestigious 4-star Hotel stands on the island of Kungsholmen, in the eastern part of the city, a few metro stops from the central station and the historic city centre. The Hotel overlooks the vast Rålambshovsparken park, which runs along one of the many shores of Lake Mälaren up to the City Hall.
The rooms are bright, with private bathrooms and every comfort (minibar, safe, flat-screen TV, satellite channels, free Wi-Fi ...) plus tea and coffee making facilities. Floors are mainly carpeted, with modern, elegant furnishings.
The Hotel also features a spacious lobby with comfortable sofas and armchairs, a professional bar counter where you can order anything you like if you fancy a drink with friends, and a gym well equipped with modern machines.

Guaranteed Marathon race bibs at 200 Euro
Prices are per person, based on double room accommodation.
PLEASE NOTE: due to growing demand, the Deposit (Air Ticket) may increase slightly as the departure date approaches.
Each participant pays a Package Price
from Thu. 27 May to Sun. 30 May;
from Fri. 28 May to Mon. 31 June.
The Package Price consists of:
1- Deposit;
2- Race Bib Fee, for those who request it;
3- Balance.
1- The Deposit varies due to air fares. We therefore recommend requesting a quote for the flight. Alternatively, you can purchase your flight on your own.
2- The Race Bib Fee:
- Marathon is 200 Euro.
3- The Balance is per person in a double/twin room:
- 359 Euro (4 days/3 nights) at the Hotel**** Marriott Stockholm.
An extra night costs:
- 99 Euro at the Hotel **** Sup.
The Balance is paid 120 to 90 days before departure. It is refundable in case of cancellation (see General Conditions).

Travelmarathon thinks of you too: if you wish to share a room with another runner, we will do our best to make it happen.
For those who prefer a Double room for single use from the outset, the single room supplement is 79 Euro per day.
The package price includes:
- Return flight with small hand luggage measuring 40 cm x 25 cm x 20 cm;
- Accommodation at Hotel *** ... (3, 4 or 5 nights);
- Travelmarathon assistance at the Hotel (a tour escort available 24h);
- Travelmarathon Staff usually present from Pisa Airport (for Thu. departures). In any case, all our Hotels are easily reachable by public transport or by inexpensive taxis;
- Escort to the race and to the expo;
The package price does not include:
- Cancel Insurance equal to about 7,5% of the entire package;
- Extra baggage 20 kg (about 20 Euro per leg - OPTIONAL);
- Booking Fee (10,90 Euro – over 12 years old);
- Optional souvenir Gadget (Polo/Sweatshirt at an indicative price of 17/19 Euro – OPTIONAL);
- Meals and drinks;
- Tickets for all transfers (bus/taxi), visits and excursions;
- Tips in general and anything not expressly indicated as included;
- Walking Tour with Italian-speaking guide. Indicative price 24 Euro per person.
Bookings
Registrations: send the Registration Form + Race Bib Form (runners only).
Deposit payment: (per person) + Race Bib Fee if requested.
Balance: 120/90 days before departure.
Registration closes: when the maximum number is reached.
